Choosing a connected temperature sensor
A connected temperature sensor replaces the morning-and-evening manual check: it measures continuously, including overnight and at weekends, and keeps a timestamped history you can show during an inspection.
Precision matters more than range
The KelvinTag measures from -40 °C to +85 °C with accuracy to ±0.05 °C. The range covers chilled and frozen alike; precision is what determines whether a slow drift is visible before it becomes a non-conformity.
Where to put it
One sensor per enclosure: fridge, freezer, cold room. Its IP68 rating lets it stay in a damp, cold environment without extra protection.
What it needs to work
The link is Bluetooth Low Energy and the internal memory covers 3 years, so the sensor keeps recording even out of range. An Android phone is enough as a gateway: it collects the readings and forwards them to the dashboard.
